I never knew of Mrs Shriver until recently - her work staggers me - truly an inspiration.
At the opening of World Games in 2000, Mrs. Shriver said [as best I can recall]: "Some people call you hanidcapped - I call you handi-capable!" Brilliant.
As an aspiring Adapted Physical Educator and a Special Olympics Coach I can honestly say that Mrs. Shriver is the first person I looked up to as an idol. Her determination and perseverance are truly awe-inspiring.
For more than 40 years the life and work of Eunice Kennedy Shriver have inspired millions to think differently. Give to Special Olympics in her memory
Thank you for your amazing contributions!
The look on an athletes face is as priceless as the look they see on your face when they're raising their hands in triumph thank you for the memories that have been made and tears of joy that have been shared throughout
I wish the world had more people who have loving and caring hearts like that of Eunice Kennedy every human being would live happily in this world. Eunice, thank you for your brilliant idea of thinking about others, we love you so much.
