My bro has downsindrome and everything he can do eunice did for him. Every thing this woman did benifitted on us she did not stop and think about herself, she always thought about others and that is why we all remember her. Thank You.

I still work and drive, but wear an ankle brace that allows me to ride the local Red Cross bus. Recently, I met the nicest young girl on her way to the Special Olympics cheerleading competition. Eunice Shriver actually left the world a better place!

Thank you for starting Special Olympics!!! I am an athlete who competes regularly and enjoy every minute of it. I have already won 3 gold and 2 bronze medals and am hoping to win more and go to the World Games in Greece.

Mrs. Shriver you were an amazing women! Greedily, I wish you were still with us so I could have the honor of meeting you! The sincerity, the courage, the faith you had in people with disabilities changed the world. You are my inspiration. Rest in peace.

I was deeply moved when I heard that Mrs. Shriver had passed away. I have known her as the driving force behind Special Olympics, till her very end. Together with all athletes and persons involved with Special Olympics I mourn her. What a great loss.
