Dear Eunice,

I am so delighted that the occasion of your 88th birthday gives me the opportunity to say "Happy Birthday and Thank you." Thank you for your inspiration and devotion to Special Olympics and all that it has done for the Olympians and their families. Thank you for demonstrating that sports does indeed have a purpose grounded in the values of both competition and compassion. Thank you for allowing the NBA to offer its support for your noble efforts. And thank you for passing the torch of enlightenment and public service to your most extraordinary children. Happy Birthday my friend.

Fondly,

David
