To the Shriver Family,

I never had the privilege of meeting Eunice Shriver, but last February our entire community experienced the tremendous accomplishments of her life through the Special Olympics World Winter Games. My heart goes out to your family and I join you in mourning her passing. I hope you find comfort in the knowledge her life was truly significant because of the incredible impact she had on so many. Her legacy will live on through Special Olympics and the millions of athletes and families that it touches around the world each year.
