A Letter from In Memoriam, Rosario Marin41st Treasurer of the United States

"Today, my heart mourns the death of Eunice Kennedy Shriver, but my spirit celebrates her life! Eunice transformed my life, that of my family and of million of others around the world. I was blessed to witness for the last 23 years her commitment to people with intellectual disabilities regardless of race, religion, or economic status. I marveled at her clear purpose to ensure that they achieved through sports their highest potential. And I was humbled by her unwavering faith in humanity to embrace people like my son. Her lifework leaves the most beautiful legacy: millions are thriving because of her and the world is definitely better than when she came into it. For that, God has welcomed her home and embraced her with the same warm smile she welcomed so many special athletes as they reached the finish line. Cheers to a job well done!"

41st US Treasurer
